Terms & Conditions
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Version 2026-09-29
The agreement between you and [LEGAL COMPANY NAME] for using Sayaara Tag.
1. Who we are and what these terms coverRequires legal review
Sayaara Tag is operated by [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], a company registered in the Sultanate of Oman under commercial registration number [CR NUMBER], with its address at [ADDRESS] ("we", "us").
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Sayaara Tag website, web app, QR tags and related services (the "Service"). They apply together with our Privacy Notice, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund & Return Policy, Subscription & Cancellation Policy and the other policies listed on our Legal page, which form part of these terms.
2. What the Service is — and is not
Sayaara Tag lets anyone who scans the QR tag on a vehicle send a notification to the vehicle's registered owner by SMS and/or WhatsApp, without seeing the owner's phone number.
The Service is a communication and convenience tool. It is NOT an emergency service, a security or anti-theft system, a roadside-assistance provider or a substitute for the police, ambulance or fire services. In an emergency, call 9999. See our Emergency & Safety Disclaimer.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth to confirm this. See our Age Eligibility Policy.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and SIM secure — anyone who can receive codes on your number can access your account.
- The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, including your phone number, which is where alerts are sent.
- One account is for one person. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us immediately at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Vehicle ownership and authorisation
You may only register a vehicle, and place a Sayaara Tag on it, if you are its registered owner or you have the owner's permission. When you add a vehicle you confirm this. We may ask for reasonable proof and may suspend a vehicle or tag if we have good reason to believe you are not authorised. See our Vehicle Owner Authorization policy.
6. QR tags
- Each plan includes a physical QR tag, delivered to you or collected from a pickup point.
- The QR code contains only a web address and a random tag code. It does not contain your name, phone number or any other personal information.
- Anyone who scans the tag will see the vehicle's plate number, make, model, colour and year, so that they can confirm they have the right car.
- If a tag is lost, stolen or damaged, deactivate it from your dashboard and contact us. See our QR Tag Warranty & Replacement Policy.
- Tags remain linked to our systems; you may not copy, alter or resell tags or tag codes.
7. Plans, prices and paymentRequires legal review
- Plans, prices and what each plan includes are shown before you pay. Prices are in Omani Rial (OMR).
- Payments are processed by Tap Payments. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Plans are paid in advance for a fixed term (monthly or annual, as shown). We do not currently charge your card automatically at the end of a term — see our Subscription & Cancellation Policy.
- Founding Member pricing is limited to the first 100 members, while available.
- Whether prices include VAT, and our VAT registration number where applicable ([VAT REGISTRATION NUMBER, IF REGISTERED]), are shown at checkout and on your receipt.
8. Cancellation and refundsRequires legal review
How to cancel, and when you can get a refund for a physical tag or a subscription, is set out in our Subscription & Cancellation Policy and our Refund & Return Policy. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under Oman's consumer protection laws.
9. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy;
- keep your contact details current so alerts reach you;
- only add emergency contacts or other people's details if you have their permission;
- respond to alerts sensibly, and never confront or harm a person who contacted you through the Service;
- keep the tag visible and undamaged if you want scanners to be able to reach you.
10. Messages sent through the Service
Messages, photos and locations sent by people who scan a tag are created by them, not by us. We do not check them before they are delivered and we are not responsible for what they say. We apply rate limits and verification to reduce abuse, and you can report or block a sender from your scan history. We may remove content and restrict senders who break our Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to harass, threaten, stalk, spam, defraud or impersonate anyone, to send false or misleading alerts, to track a person, or to attempt to find out an owner's phone number or identity. The full list is in our Acceptable Use Policy.
12. Service availability and network limitations
Alerts depend on mobile networks, internet access, and SMS and WhatsApp providers that we do not control. We work to keep the Service available, but we cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered, or delivered within a particular time, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance, provider outages, message-volume limits and anti-abuse controls may delay or block alerts.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including payment, messaging, hosting and mapping providers (listed in our Privacy Notice). Information shown in the Nearby map comes from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or out of date. Where the Service shows or links to third-party businesses (for example garages or towing services), your dealings with them are between you and them.
14. Intellectual property and licence
The Sayaara name, logo, tag designs, software and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own vehicles in line with these terms. You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the Service, or use automated tools to overload it.
Content you submit (such as photos or messages) remains yours. You give us the permission we need to store, process and deliver it to provide the Service.
15. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is explained in our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
16. Limitation of liabilityRequires legal review
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, including any rights you have as a consumer.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for losses caused by alerts that are not delivered, are delayed, or are not read, where this results from networks, third-party providers, your device or settings, or events outside our reasonable control;
- we are not liable for the acts or messages of people who scan your tag, or of third-party businesses;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses;
- our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
17. Suspension and terminationRequires legal review
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your Profile (see our Account & Data Deletion Policy).
We may suspend or close an account, or deactivate a tag, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close your account without a valid reason under these terms, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid plan.
18. Changes to the Service or these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by message before they take effect and, where required, ask you to accept them again. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
19. Complaints, governing law and disputesRequires legal review
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — see our Complaint & Dispute Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Sultanate of Oman, without affecting your right to complain to the Consumer Protection Authority or any other competent authority.
